Motivational Workplace AwardsThe Nebraska Safety Council's (NeSC) Motivational Workplace Awards help our member companies reward achievements in workplace injury and illness prevention. You must be a Nebraska Safety Council member to take advantage of this program of four awards.
Distinguished Safety Achievement Award - The NeSC's Distinguished Safety Achievement Award recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a period of at least 12 consecutive months without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or death.
Million Work Hours Award - The NeSC's Million Work Hours Award recognizes companies, units and/or facilities that have completed a period of at least 1 million work hours without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or death.
Nomination AwardsOpen to all, companies are nominated for the John J. Siefkes and/or Governor's Safety & Health Awards. These two awards are presented during the annual Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with the Nebraska Safety Council Conference & Trade Show in the Spring. Siefkes Award - Acknowledges the significant contributions of individuals in the field of safety, health and the environment. The award is named for John Siefkes, the Executive Director of the Nebraska Safety Council from 1984 to April 1994.The objective of this award is to recognize individual contributions and encourage others to expend their time and effort in safety, health and the environment. Governor's Safety & Health Award - Created to recognize an individual, group, organization, or business whose safety and health efforts have made a difference in the community in which they live. It must be a community-based project or service, involve safety and health, utilize creative or innovative approaches and have positively impacted their community. A selection committee made up of safety and health professionals from across Nebraska reviews the nominations and selects one award winner. |
