This introductory program will demonstrate the similarities of a good safety and wellness culture and how to begin moving the pieces into one cohesive effort.
Lisa Henning, Executive Director of the Nebraska Safety Council is excited to share her extensive expertise in truly integrated safety and wellness programs. She has nearly 30 years of worksite health promotion experience. Lisa worked with more than 3,000 different worksites in both wellness and safety. She served as the National Director of the National Healthy Worksite Program where she developed the CDC’s national curriculum in conjunction with the Center for Productivity and Health in the New England Workforce.

Learn how to better engage your non-traditional workers in safety compliance and wellness engagement. Workers outside of your regular workforce have an impact on your culture and workers' compensation. We will be working through the impact and liability on your workforce for your contractors, part-time, temporary, field, and non-benefit eligible workers.
Jill Schroeder, J.D, Director of Nebraska Workers Compensation Court will discuss recent trends and litigation related to these issues both nationally and in Nebraska. Attend this program and be prepared to mitigate your risk.

OSHA set a record number of employer inspections in their 2019 fiscal year; completing more inspections in the one year compared to the three previous years combined. It is important for safety professionals to keep up on the latest regulatory information affecting our industries.
Doug Fletcher, former Nebraska OSHA Assistant Area Director, will join Ric and Jeff with the Nebraska Safety Council to touch base on some of the initiatives OSHA will be focusing on through the remainder of 2020. Time will be allotted at the end (or throughout the session) for a Q & A session for participants to ask questions.
