Course Curriculum
  • Self-paced, ONLINE classroom modules (average completion time is 35 hours)
  • 5 hours hands-on driving
  • 1/2 hour behind-the-wheel drive test 
  • During COVID-19, a parent or adult of the same household will need to ride along during the drive time

Please Note: We make every effort to schedule behind the wheel driving training during the course date(s) your student is scheduled; however, we cannot guarantee it. It may be necessary to schedule drive time following the course date(s).

Driving Includes

  • Highway/gravel
  • Parallel/perpendicular/angle parking
  • Marked and unmarked streets/intersections
  • Interstate driving
  • Heavy, city-traffic driving

Registration Information

  • Advance registration and payment required.
  • Students must possess a learner's permit to register and complete the course.
  • Registration is a 4-step process:
    • First Step – Register your student for the classroom portion of course.
    • Second Step – You will receive an email from the Nebraska Safety Council after registration and payment are received, which will provide a link and unique code for the online classroom part of the course.
      • If you don’t receive an email, please check your spam filter.
      • Emails are not automatically generated - it may take up to 2 business days to get your code to access the class.
      • You will have 60 days to complete the course.
    • Third Step - The Nebraska Safety Council checks on class completion twice a week. The Nebraska Safety Council will send you an email with a link for you to select behind-the-wheel drive times.
      • If you don’t receive an email, please check your spam filter.
      • Drive times are first-come, first served.
      • During COVID-19, a parent or adult of the same household will need to ride along during the drive time
    • Fourth Step - Parents will receive a link to the Driver's Education Parent Agreement PolicyCarefully read the document in full, then sign and send the document with your student to the first drive-time appointment.

IMPORTANT: Students that will turn 18 years of age before completing the classroom AND behind-the-wheel portions of the course are NOT ELIGIBLE for this program (per DMV regulation). 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received five (5) business days prior to the first classroom date will receive a partial refund with a 5% processing fee. View the full terms and conditions for details.
